ORANGE COUNTY'S FIRST WING CHUN KUNG FU INSTITUTION OPENS
For adults, The Dragon Institute will offer the full spectrum of mind and body self-growth. Adult classes will not only be a fun way to get in shape, but also the advantages of stress-relieving meditation, a whole new way to look at life’s challenges, applied practical science – all in a system of self-defense considered by many experts to be one of today's most effective methods.
For kids, ages 4 and up, The Dragon Institute goes way beyond teaching children how to defend themselves. It is, in every sense, a leadership development program that teaches life-lessons and character development for making the right decisions now... and in the future. The benefits are numerous, including a reward system that improves children’s self-esteem, a class structure that teaches discipline, activities to channel aggression, confidence-building skills and lifetime self-defense skills.

ABOUT WING CHUN
Wing Chun is considered by many experts to be one of the most effective self defense systems in the world. A highly efficient combat-tested system of self defense, fighting skills and defensive tactics, Wing Chun emphasizes aggressive, direct/scientific movement and realistic training. It has been taught and integrated into the training programs of hundreds of military & law enforcement agencies around the world such as the US Navy Seals, the FBI, CIA, the French RAID, German SEK units.
Unlike more classical martial arts, Wing Chun is not a style. It is neither fixed nor rigid. Instead it is a fluid and free process of intelligent fighting. It has no flashy movements. Its combat goal is to finish a fight as quickly as possible. Wing Chun has a philosophy based on simplicity, directness and practicality. It uses physics to determine the best way to move and defend oneself.

ABOUT THE DRAGON INSTITUTE The Dragon Institute is located at 34241 Pacific Coast Highway #105 in Dana Point, CA.
It acts as the Orange County Wing Chun branch of the California Wing Chun Association as well as its headquarters. The Dragon Institute's martial arts program carries with it full international accreditation. Recognized and certified by several top world organizations, the institute will bring to light centuries of knowledge once held in secret by underground Chinese rebels. The Dragon Institute is proud to be the Orange County Wing Chun representative of the Yip Man (aka Ip Man) method of Wing Chun as passed down by his senior-most student in Hong Kong, Leung Sheung. Yip Man is the celebrated teacher of Bruce Lee and is credited with being the Grandmaster of Wing Chun. Several kung fu movies have been made about Yip Man including the 2008 Hong Kong blockbuster titled Ip Man and the 2010 sequel Ip Man 2.
